La Mer is an urban beachfront destination that combines sun and sand with shopping and style. With turquoise waters, white sands and funky murals, the leisure locale brings a splash of colour to the surrounding Jumeirah neighbourhood.
Composed of distinct zones, the development boasts a modern industrial aesthetic. Within the North and Central sections you can browse more than 30 shops, cafés, restaurants and beach activities. Soak up the sunshine along its beaches, with sun-loungers and cabanas available to rent – for an especially chilled out afternoon, hop onto the shoreside hammock.
Families can discover a variety of thrills with play areas for young ones. Meanwhile, the more recently opened Rove at La Mer offers fabulous seaside getaways with the added advantage of discounts across the destination’s venues and watersports options.
A favourite among Dubai locals, La Mer’s picture-perfect views of the city skyline (including the Burj Khalifa) make it a must-visit.
The popular destination is set to unveil many new-to-Dubai venues in 2023 – including internationally-acclaimed beach clubs Sirene Beach by Gaia and Bâoli, among other spots that promise elevated seaside experiences. As of 2022, the redevelopment project is in full swing, with most of La Mer South closed down to accommodate the glamorous new changes.
