Dubai Sports Council

The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) was formally established on November 30, 2005, following a decree from H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

DSC develops and implements sports policies for Dubai, oversees the development of sports infrastructure in Dubai, organizes and promotes sports events in Dubai, supports local sports clubs and athletes, and promotes physical activity and sports participation among the public.

DSC has been instrumental in the development of sports in Dubai. In recent years, Dubai has hosted a number of major international sporting events, including the 2009 ICC Cricket World Cup, the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup, and the 2020 Summer Olympics. DSC has also helped to develop a number of world-class sports facilities in Dubai, such as the Dubai International Stadium and the Dubai Tennis Stadium.
