Cinema Afternoon at African Queen with Dad, Great Food & a Disney Classic
Offer: This Father’s Day, African Queen invites guests to celebrate with a heartwarming Saturday Cinema Afternoon on 21st June, an experience filled with nostalgia, great food, and quality time with Dad. Designed to honour fathers and the cherished moments that make family special, the afternoon brings together film, flavour, and connection in an intimate indoor setting.
Set in African Queen’s beautifully designed upper-level lounge, the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere creates the perfect escape to slow down and savor time with loved ones. Whether gathering with fathers, honoring a father figure, or simply enjoying a soulful day, the afternoon blends the magic of cinema with the comforts of thoughtful food and heartfelt ambiance.
The afternoon begins at 2 PM with a screening of Mufasa: The Lion King, a moving story that celebrates legacy, love, and the bonds that connect us. It’s a film that speaks to the heart of fatherhood, making it the perfect centerpiece for a day dedicated to dads.
Adding to the experience, African Queen draws inspiration from the charming French tradition of plateau télé to create its own “All in a Tray” concept, a curated, shareable food tray designed for comfort, indulgence, and joy. Thoughtfully arranged for casual elegance, the tray includes Salmon Crudo, Margherita Pizza, Mini Burgers with Fries, and Fried Tempura Prawns with Spicy Mayo, a delightful ensemble of flavours designed to satisfy and spark conversation. Guests will also enjoy velvety ice cream, fresh popcorn from a live station, all served in a relaxed and comforting way that brings back happy memories of family, laughter, and simpler times.
Guests are invited to choose between two thoughtfully curated packages. The AED 299 package includes a selection of refreshing soft beverages, while the AED 399 package offers a more indulgent experience, featuring two glasses of Rosé or red wine, two glasses of white sangria, or two expertly crafted classic cocktails such as the Gin Basil, Espresso Martini, or Aperol Spritz, along with a choice of beer.
For younger guests, children aged 0 to 5 dine complimentary, and those aged 6 to 12 can enjoy the experience for AED 150.
This is more than a movie night, it’s a chance to pause, reconnect, and celebrate those who matter most. Whether it’s a night out with a father, a gesture for a friend who feels like family, or simply a cozy afternoon surrounded by laughter and stories, Saturday Cinema Afternoon at African Queen offers the perfect way to say: thank you, Dad.
