Now Open: New Dual Concept Launches At Nad Al Sheba Mall – Around The Block And Char

It’s official, Around the Block and CHAR have opened their doors at Nal Al Sheba Mall, serving up two completely different vibes under one roof.

By day, it’s Around the Block as Dubai knows and loves it, an easy-going energy from 7 AM to 2 PM. Expect specialty brews, globally inspired dishes and a setting as welcoming as one’s favourite neighbourhood barista.

When the clock hits two, things heat up. The space transforms into CHAR, a bold new grill bar built around open flame and big flavour. The menu is rooted in heritage and fuelled by fire, starting with freshly baked bread served alongside rich, layered spreads that range from creamy to spicy to smoky, with the option to elevate the experience with fresh truffle shaved to order.

The cold plates are bold and craveable, with inventive takes on classic favourites, from refreshing vegetable mixes to rich proteins and crisp, savoury pastries, all made for sharing. Hot dishes bring the intensity with a mix of flame-grilled seafood, spiced vegetables and indulgent, punchy bites. From the grill, guests can expect a line-up of fire-kissed meats, tender poultry, and perfectly cooked fish, all prepared with CHAR’s signature style.

And dessert is not to be missed, one known for its rich, caramelized top and velvety centre, the other offering a smooth, classic creaminess that leaves a lasting impression.
