Dubai Residents Celebrate Art, Wellness And Community With Inaugural Art Run By House Of Arts

Fitness and art enthusiasts of all ages gathered at House of Arts at Expo City Dubai on Saturday for the Art Run, a distinctive wellness experience that blended movement, artistic discovery and community spirit.

With Expo City’s public art installations, a legacy of Expo2020 Dubai’s art initiatives, lining the route, runners experienced Expo City Dubai as an open-air gallery, a shared journey driven by movement, connection and creativity, inviting participants to engage with the city not just as observers, but as part of the experience.

Starting from House of Arts, a multidisciplinary cultural space that champions creative voices from across the GCC, the run welcomed runners of all ages and abilities with 2.5km, 5km and 10km routes.

The open-air encounter brought participants face-to-face with a selection of striking installations including Khalil Rabah’s sculptural A Point in Time; Monira Al Qadiri’s gleaming Chimera; Asma Belhamar’s Distorted Familiarities; and Afra Al Dhaheri’s playful Pillow Fort Playground. Shaikha Al Mazrou’s bold The Plinth;Olafur Eliasson’s evocative The Presence of Absence Pavilion; and Abdullah Al Saadi’s hand-painted Terhal further enriched the experience, leaving participants with a journey shaped as much by movement as by art and imagination.

By bringing together art and wellness, the Art Run reimagined running as an immersive way to engage with art, reinforcing House of Arts as a place where culture is actively experienced.
