CASSETTE, the culturally rooted café celebrated for its seamless blend of music and film, has unveiled a new French-inspired menu that further deepens its identity as one of Dubai’s most beloved daytime destinations. More than just a place to dine, it remains a space where food, music, art, design and community come together, offering a considered experience shaped by appreciation and intention rather than noise.  

Tucked within the serene setting of The Courtyard in Al Quoz, CASSETTE offers a welcome contrast to the city’s fast-paced rhythm, where morning coffees naturally extend into leisurely lunches. Inspired by classic French bistro sensibilities and rooted in quality produce and honest technique, the new menu is built around comfort and balance, delivering dishes that are generous and satisfying while remaining light enough to enjoy throughout the day.

Guests can begin their Mornings at CASSETTE with dishes such as the Potato Rösti, a crisp Swiss-style pancake layered with crème fraîche, cream cheese, chives, soft-boiled egg, and smoked salmon, and the Pain Perdu du Matin, golden brioche French toast caramelised and served with maple syrup, fresh strawberries, and vanilla crème. For lighter bites, the Comté & Onion Croquettes pair nutty French cheese with caramelised onion, served alongside truffle mayo and onion purée,  indulgent yet balanced. Starters continue the Parisian narrative, from the silky Chicken Liver Mousse with brioche and apple compote to the refreshing Carrot Râpée à la Parisienne, dressed in lemon mustard and finished with toasted sesame. The Steak Tartare & Caviar Sandwich, layers tenderloin with gherkin, shallot, capers and parsley on a French baguette, finished with caviar for a refined nod to classic French brasserie flavours.

Mains are grounded in nostalgia and warmth. The Roast Baby Chicken “Grand-Mère”, prepared in the traditional grandmother’s style, is served with mushroom purée, caramelised shallots, king oyster mushrooms, and rich chicken jus. The French Dip Sandwich layers pulled beef with Gruyère, caramelised onions, and horseradish mayo on a toasted baguette, accompanied by house beef jus for dipping. Desserts remain timeless. The Profiteroles, filled with whipped vanilla cream and dipped in dark chocolate, close the experience on a familiar and comforting note.   

Beyond the plate, the experience extends into the space itself. The terrace invites guests to enjoy the courtyard setting, while indoors the newly reimagined red interiors bring warmth and character to the space. A curated vinyl corner beneath the staircase reinforces CASSETTE’s deep connection to music and film, creating an atmosphere that feels both creative and calm.
