House Of Arts Presents “Saturdays At The House”: A New Initiative Curating Family Cultural Experiences At Expo City Dubai
With distance learning extended across the UAE for another two weeks beyond the Eid break, House of Arts at Expo City Dubai is curating a series of monthly activities for parents seeking opportunities to immerse their children in art, wellness and music.
Beginning on 11 April, every month, Saturdays at the House will present a family-focused cultural programme designed to engage children and families through a curated blend of creative, interactive and educational experiences.
Saturdays at the House offers a dedicated space for shared experiences, rooted in exploration and self-expression. Designed to deepen cultural engagement, it seeks to nurture children’s curiosity, confidence and imagination.
Activities are tailored for children aged 4–7 and 8–12, and are structured to reflect different developmental stages, interests and levels of engagement. Through guided workshops, interactive sessions and hands-on experiences, participants are encouraged to experiment with ideas, and build confidence in a supportive, family-friendly setting.
At the centre of Saturdays at the House are three core programme pillars: Art, wellness and music.
Art activities offer hands-on opportunities for children to explore materials, colours and techniques while developing creative thinking and self-expression.
Wellness experiences incorporate movement, mindfulness and playful physical activity to encourage body awareness, confidence and positive habits from an early age.
Music sessions introduce children to rhythm, sound and participation through interactive experiences that support listening, creativity and shared enjoyment.
Each edition of the programme features a curated blend of activities led by artists, facilitators and creative practitioners, bringing together multiple disciplines in an accessible format that encourages learning through play.
In addition to the scheduled sessions, families participating in Saturdays at the House are invited to explore the inaugural exhibition, Interwoven, where 20 artists from across the Gulf region come together in a vibrant showcase of contemporary art. The home of art at Expo City Dubai, House of Arts is a multidisciplinary space dedicated to championing art from UAE and the wider region and making it accessible to all. Families will have an opportunity to delve deeper into House of Arts’ galleries, hosting contemporary works by some of the GCC’s most renowned and fascinating creative talent.
The launch of Saturdays at the House reflects the broader efforts of House of Arts to engage the community and make art accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Through immersive, inclusive programming, the initiative introduces children and families to creative practice while inspiring the next generation of artists and thinkers.
Saturdays at the House timings are from 08:30 –12:00 and tickets are priced at AED 99 for a family of two adults and two children aged 4-11 years, while additional tickets cost AED 35.
