Mokha 1450, the UAE’s leading luxury specialty coffee brand, has expanded its footprint through a new collaboration with A Normal Day Bistro, that officially launched on 7 May 2025, in Dar Al Wasl. The strategic partnership brings Mokha 1450’s award-winning specialty coffee offering to a new audience in one of Dubai’s most creative lifestyle destinations.
A Normal Day is a creative all day dining concept by local entrepreneurs Obaid Almulla, Mohammed Murad, Tareq Roumie, and Ray Yafi. The bistro is Located in the space formerly home to Myocum, AND brings thoughtfully crafted comfort food to life in a nostalgic and design-led setting. The interiors reflect a minimalist but highly curated home-style dining aesthetic, creating an elevated but charming and casual atmosphere. Under the direction of chef Illia Andriushyn, the menu reimagines breakfast staples and comfort dishes using refined techniques with an eye towards innovating and a focus on quality ingredients.
The collaboration with Mokha 1450 adds an experiential coffee dimension to the brand, allowing guests to explore rare, single-origin specialty coffees sourced through a direct trade model. Mokha 1450 works closely with women-owned farms and cooperatives, addressing the global imbalance where women contribute to over 90% of the coffee value chain, yet hold less than 10% of ownership and leadership roles. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, Mokha 1450 pays women farmers well above-market rates, supports community development projects, and drives industry-wide conversations on equity and sustainability.
Founded in 2013 by Garfield Kerr, a former Wall Street attorney and private equity fund manager turned specialty coffee expert, Mokha 1450 has grown into a regional and global leader in the Luxury Specialty Coffee sphere, a space the brand created, as well as innovation, and advocacy for women assuming leadership roles within the coffee world.
