Reconnect With Nature At Sekushi’s Kokedama Workshop With Kaia’s Nisreen Bashnak

Sekushi invites guests to step into a world of calm and creativity with an exclusive Kokedama workshop led by botanical artist Nisreen Bashnak, founder of Kaia. Taking place on Tuesday, 28 May from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, this intimate event blends Japanese tradition, thoughtful design, and the beauty of nature, all with a signature Sekushi twist – Sexy Fish’s new multi-purpose room with a stunning view of the Dubai skyline, serving as a bar, late-night dance floor, a culinary evexnt venue and a private event space all at once.

Kokedama, often called the “man’s bonsai,” is a centuries-old Japanese art form where plants are sculpted into moss-covered spheres. At this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to create their own living piece to take home, guided by Nisreen’s calming approach and artistic expertise.

Nisreen Bashnak, the creative mind behind Kaia, draws from her passion for reintroducing nature into our urban lives. From writing and painting to building moss-covered sculptures and terrariums, her work is grounded in the belief that we all crave deeper connection with the natural world, and that artful, mindful moments like these can help us recharge.

The setting will be transformed for the evening, with soft pinks throughout the Sekushi lounge and starfish accents delicately placed around the plants, a nod to the venue’s playful energy and attention to detail. Tickets are priced at AED 400, inclusive of a Happy Hour experience, and the session is limited to just 15 participants, offering a personal and elevated atmosphere.
