Cayena Colfolk Collaborates With Entertainment Giant The Fridge For Their Social Club Series Bringing Colombian Folklore Back To Dubai

Cayena Colfolk is back again, bringing Colombia to Dubai by showcasing the vibrant culture, music, and folkloric dance of this vibrant country – this time in collaboration with the entertainment giant The Fridge for their Social Club sessions.

‘RAIZ’, will be showcased on Saturday13 September 2025 at The Fridge, Alserkal Avenuein Al Quoz. Featuring 20 professional Colombian dancers, musicians, and actors.

Raiz brings the spirit of traditional Colombian dance to the stage with passion and precision. From Cumbia and Currulao to Bambuco and beyond. Each performance highlights the Afro-Colombian, Indigenous, and Spanish roots that shape Colombia’s vibrant heritage. Dancers in Vibrant costumes inspired by traditional dress honor the rich mix of cultures that built the nation.   

The performance is brought to life by Cayena Colfolk, a Colombian dance company based in Dubai. Founded by Judith Pizarro, former Principal Dancer of Colombia’s National Ballet, Cayena is known for its powerful shows that weave together stories of ancestry, joy, and celebration. The company regularly performs at major events across the Middle East.   

To complete the experience, Juan Valdez MENA offers authentic Andean coffee, adding a flavorful touch of Colombia’s highlands to the evening.

Produced and Directed by Judy Pizarro,a Colombian professional dancer who previously served for 10 years as the principal dancer of the National Ballet of Colombia.
