Barkfest By Feastival To Host Its Festive-Edition On Barasti Beach
The festive season is about to get a tail-wagging twist as Barkfest by Feastival brings its much-loved dog-friendly celebration to the shores of Dubai for the very first time. Taking place on Saturday 13th December, from 1:00pm to 9:00pm, at Barasti Beach, which will become family and dog-friendly for one day only, dog lovers and their furry companions are invited to experience a one-of-a-kind festive day out by the sea.
Set against the iconic Barasti backdrop, guests can look forward to an afternoon filled with sunshine, sand, and seasonal spirit. For one paw-fect day only, dogs and their humans can enjoy beach access and swimming in the sea, with dedicated off-leash zones for both small and large dogs to play safely. With cabanas, sun loungers, floating platforms in the sea, and a kids’ play area, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in this laid-back, feel-good setting.
Festivities kick off at 1:00pm, with the first 100 dogs through the gates receiving branded dog towels courtesy of Royal Canin and The Pet Shop. The much-loved Dog Show will take centre stage from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, judged by Aimee Orme from The Pet Shop. Fun categories include Scruffiest Dog, Merriest Tail Wagger, Best Paw Shake, Golden Oldie (8+ years), Best Puppy (1 year and under), Best Trick, and Dog Most Like Its Owner. Every participant will receive a rosette, with prizes from Royal Canin and The Pet Shop awarded to the winners.
Adding to the magic of the afternoon, Santa himself will be stopping by between 3:30pm and 6:30pm for free festive photo opportunities sponsored by Cosmopet. Guests can also enjoy a sprinkle of festive snow on the beach, before carol singers and a dazzling Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 7pm bring the evening to life.
Visitors can browse through more than 20 stalls at the Christmas Market, where a selection of pet and lifestyle brands will be showcasing their festive collections. Expect to see names such as Howlistic Petz, Paw Haven, Pet Loft, Perro, Marvellous Puppy, Xolo Pet Boutique, The Pawsome Pals Company, OSOQT, Pretty Paws, PupNut, Buho Boost, Puprazy, PawSkies, Chiku Designs, Pup Of Luxury, Happy Woof, Scotchie’s Candles, Brownie Pet Shop, Howl & Growl, and Furchild.
For those looking to refuel, Barasti will be serving its full à la carte menu throughout the day, keeping guests refreshed from start to finish. Guests can choose to lounge on a sun lounger or cabana, and for VIP attendees the celebration continues in the VIP Lounge, hosted by Pearl Rosé, where invited guests can enjoy complimentary rosé while soaking in the festive atmosphere.
